Velvet Lights

Lights are so bright someone please take me home
I don’t want to be here but I don’t want to be alone
Sirens pierce the night sky
I feel so empty that I could almost fly
White walls fluorescent lights and silence
My mind is drifting away from all the violence
Lost grip on this reality
I think there is something wrong with me
I can’t speak so I just stare instead
