Future Dropout

I can’t afford gas
I can’t afford the latest car repair (the radiator blew up)
I can’t afford to win, can’t afford to lose
And I’ve been pulling out my hair (like what the-)
Maybe I peaked in high school
But that can’t be true ‘cause I wasn’t even cool
I’m burnt out, washed up, wishing I was someone
Who made these God damn rules
I wanna drop out of college
I want to do the things I want to do
I really think I can do it, maybe I’ll prove it
Future dropout, tried and true
I failed out of stats (one plus one is two…)
Which kind of sucks because I bought the textbook (… hundred dollars!)
Been sleeping with my shoes on, why remove ‘em
It’s more convenient than it looks
Maybe I’m not cut out for this
That might be true, I think I always knew that
