Green Umbrella

When I first saw her with a green umbrella
My first thought was I had to tell her
I had to tell her that my favourite colour was green
One day I gave her another green umbrella
She said you better never make me jealous
Then she kissed me and we fell asleep
I said, we fall in love so easily
We all get passed around

She said she didn’t know what I was talking about
She frowned and kicked me out
She didn’t seem to care that it was raining
She gave me quiet a scare by saying
You' re gonna have to learn I’m not playing
and you are not staying here
She said, boys like you just disappear
When boys like you get too tough
Girls like me don’t get too near
And we pretend that we had enough
She said here, just take this green umbrella
I said baby I’m not laughing with you
