Wake Up Call

I woke up last night
In the dark but yet it was blindingly bright
Almost too bright to see
The crooked path my mind moves through oh so swiftly
It’s 3a.m. and this is your wake up call
I’m messin up real bad, you know i’m slippin i just might fall
I’ve drawn on my face
With permanent marker that i can not erase
I drew a smile just for you
A smile that only i can see right through

I’ve been sleep walkin, sleep talkin,

Back and forth like a ship tossed out at sea
So i splash some water on my face and look up at the mirror
And hope that when i dry, i can see a little bit clearer
