Sitting in the darkness
A glimmer of light shines through on me
I’ve reached up for it But it was gone
It twists and turns and slips away from me If it wasn’t for this pain
I wouldn’t have any feelings at all
I’d live out my life in this desolate void

To bring in the blue sky for me I need the bright light

Sitting in this dark room
Looking out my window pane
I can’t see anything
They’ve painted over it.
Nothing for my eyes to see
