Sweet baby Jesus
Born in a stable
There with his mother
And father alone
In fields there were angels
Exclaiming the good news
Announcing His birth as
God’s only son
Soon there were shepherds
To welcome this baby
The wise men did follow
The star many nights
The heavens proclaim this joyous occasion
While earth stood in silence
Unaware of the child

Has come to redeem us
By the gift of His own birth

We sing our praises
To honor this baby
Who gives salvation to all who believe
He chose to die for all who’d receive Him
