When I was a kid
There were movies I’d make in my mind
Visions so realistic
I’d get all worked up til I’d cry
Who would I be and what would I be like
Me as the singer with my pretty wife
I could sing with a hero
I’d lay down my life
Just to have their wanted soul so bad
I believe what’s meant to be

I’ve been searching for what I need

I was 18, my very first month
Away from home
Then I caught your attention
When you heard me sing that first note
