I love my name
My mother thought of that name
Um, the story that she tells is
She was walking down Belmar Avenue
And it was the middle of the day
And she was by herself and she was pregnant with me
And she said that she just heard a voice in her head
And, um, it was just, I guess, me talking before I was born
And telling her that that’s what my name was
So sometimes I like to think that I named myself
Ha ha ha, with the name that I signalled to her
That that was what my name already was
