Falling to Apathy

They felt into an infinite sadness,
Then into a fast, thence to a watch,
Thence into weakness, thence to a lightness,
By this declension,
To madness wherein they rave
Remember,
When we used to talk about our futures
An innocent mote to trouble the mind
No more dreams, we are damned
Passing through nature to eternity
They felt like they were really close
To control the entire world
You know that we all must die
I wonder where we are going?
A place of no return most likely
