Raindrop

A raindrop shimmers when the sun appears, before falling to the ground
A leaf makes a journey high in the sky, before dying with no sound
Things seem sweet, but sadly slow one second before the end
Like the shadow, shaping you and me, dark and real, then fading away
I’m trying to sort out what to remember or forget
Things are not always the way I wish they were
I have trouble finding faith, but I’m not ashamed
Just unable to decide whether I let go or hate
Once time’s gone by and faded bad thoughts that took so much space
I realise it was no big deal in the end
Love and spirit lost in the battle of life leave wrinkles on my face
They’ll never come back; they’ll just give way to grief and regrets
