I Saw a Monster

I was younger, probably seventeen or eighteen
Representin' scrub life, everybody hate me
Night after night, I would stress, I
Should’ve been at a party, but I wasn’t that type of guy
I wanted to be a ninja, and I wanted it severe
I challenged myself all the time, it was weird
I’d be layin' there in bed, I’d tell myself I was weak
Unless I run right now, out the house, and booked down the street
And up the hill, in the park, about two blocks away
Sometimes still in my socks, there goes J
Scootin', on a self-made ninja mission
My dog runnin' with me, we hit the ignition
And fly nonstop up to the top, with the quickness
Something I had to prove to myself, call it a sickness
But there I was, proud as can be, arms spread
I yelled «Warrior!"as loud as I could
And one night, I walked my girl to my car
Clouds speedin' through the sky, unusually dark
Cold, wicked, and windy, and you know I was bummin'
I just wanted to sleep (No!), but then I knew what was comin' (No!)
Got in bed, then it started in my head (No!), I fought it
Told myself I’m a neden if I don’t do it, and I bought it
Out the door, I was flyin' like a thief in the dark
Cut across the lawns to jumpstead the beat of my heart (Woo!)
Got to the top and yelled, it wasn’t like other nights
I yelled «Warrior!"but somethin' wasn’t right
A huge gust of wind almost put me on the ground
I was noided runnin' back down, but didn’t fuck around
I was halfway back home and stopped to catch my breath
When I seen it, a real life creature of death
A fuckin' monster, stompin' out of the woods behind me
I’ll never forget it, you won’t need to remind me
Like a bigfoot, arms mad long and scary
As tall as a stop sign, big and hairy
I was gone, thought about bangin' on peoples' doors for help
But what the fuck they gonna do? I’m in this shit by myself
I ran up in my house and laid up under the window
Right there in the dark, and all I hear in the wind blow
All that «warrior"shit, I probably conjured up a demon
He came to fight and saw me run off like a bitch, screamin'
Is he still out there, who knows? I called Nate the Mack
He came over in the Nova with the shotty in the back
I jumped in, we bounced, and to this day, y’all
I don’t know if anybody believes it when I say
I saw a monster, it was gonna kill me, feel me?
I was out of that bitch, it couldn’t come near me
I saw a monster, yeah, I guess it could’ve been fake
But who the fuck would be willin' to do all that it would take?
I saw a monster, and it would’ve ripped me in pieces (Shit)
If I would’ve stayed to fight it, and that is my thesis
