The Mourning Demon

I saw the earth burn down
Down to its poisoned ground
I saw the world in flames
The end of all its days
And since all life was lost
I have wandered round the land
Dreaming about the times we used to have
Finally i believe it was hopeless
The fate of humanity was darkness
Joy seems like a dream i never had
That vanished with the winds of misery
Men turned to piles of toxic waste
With their souls wandering in agony
The radioactive air
The evidence of fear
The remains of our past
Is what it s left at last
The echo of your cries
And the yelling of despise
Became my dead soul s lullaby
Finally i believe it was hopeless
The fate of humanity was darkness
I mourn for humanity
I mourn for the loss of sanity
As earth descends into emptiness
Our souls are lost into nothingness
As grief devours my senses
I realize i m helpless
I felt the pain; it was insane
And earth becomes my hunter s prey
