Umbra Tempest

Below the waves, a subsequent slumber awakes
Nature eager to submit itself to the ancient beast
Covered in scales eflecting light of the cognizant moon
Archaic vindictive terror shall be felt by the Earth once more
The tides rise, clouds begin to form
Enter silver creature, skin of a serpent, wings of a bird
Glaring down from the Heavens
Driven by instinct, cleansing must begin
Flutter of its wings create the storm
Colossal whirlpools consume vast waters
Initiate the great flood
Submerged planet, humankind will leave no trace of itself
From the deepest trench in the ocean
To the apical point in the sky
For these wings create to destroy
Behold the hatred of nature given flesh
After forty cycles, global storm has subsided
Remnants of life sink to become one with Earth
Arbitration of this planet’s premature death concluded
Indefinite sleep awaits until need for worldwide collapse
