Days Of Nothing

The leaves are turning brown and I woke up and found I need nothing
With a coffee in my hand by the window where I stand I need nothing
The rain is pouring down and with no one else around I miss nothing
No I don’t need more than nothing today
Summer just flew by, so now I’m gonna try for days of nothing
So I get time to think, time to let it sink when I feel nothing
I feel so at ease, with no one here to please, but myself
I think I’ll write a song today
So today I’ve found my way back to all that I love
I truly need a break to find the core of what it is that I am looking for
Days of nothing truly helps remind, the busy mind, leave things behind
Days can always change as memories rearrange my thinking
With no time to get bored, feelings just slip away
As lucky as I am, I need to pinch my hand and stand back
I need to figure out what I want to say
So today I’ve found my way back to all that I love
