Wide awake in a west-side Fort Worth motel
Interstate 30 poundin' in my head
Thinking of a quiet place where nights were soft and full of grace
Sleep would come so easy in her bed
And I would wait to find that Calgary girl watchin' the morning star

And love was wrapped around us as we put on our winter clothes
Walk into the Calgary morning, as the Rockies turn rose
