I dine on mediocrity
I thrive on my hypocrisy
Light a candle for the beginners
Bow your head and pray out loud
Kiss the streets that knew your name
Grit your teeth and curse the sound
And everything that you once said
Has become back to bit you in the end
I stumble on my dignity
I cherish all your pleasantries
And everything that you were told
Disappeared when bought and sold
I’m dying to see what’s next
For now I’ll just feel the effects
