Someone felt my pulse today
Someone pricked my toe
Someone said goodbye today
Or was it just hello?
Someone brought me flowers
Someone brought me hope
Someone took my showers
Someone stole my soap
And then I opened my eyes and saw that you had gone
It seems I’d been awake and lying all along

Someone read a book aloud
I knew the ending very well
Someone wished that all the clouds
Would finally go to hell
Someone checked if I was in
