Well I worked my whole life for other peoples benefit
Let them tell me what to do, when to run and when to sit
At the end of it all I was left with nothing
All the money all the pride, it all went straight to them
And now I’m old and gray and I got no money left for my final resting days
They left me with a pile of depends and a crummy company watch
After 30 years a firm handshake feels like a sucker punch to the crotch
They told me I’ve been replaced and my replacement
Don’t need lunch breaks or any office space
In fact he don’t even need to be paid
