It’s poetic license when I carved our names in the cave wall
And poetic justice when you had your boyfriend sandblast it all
He’s so common, rote, vulgar, disgusting, with unique contempt
I would think you’d get tired of him, but you don’t
Like sand in the hourglass, so go the days of our lives
At first, it was funny-ha ha
But now it’s just funny-peculiar
