Devoured Myself

People moving like maggots in a corpse
dying slowly but they don’t know it
carriers of viruses, bacteriums and parasites
supporting this kingdom of disease.
I cannot live as they do because
I’m the divine creation, a perfect body with
a perfect mind, one in a million
There is no food good enough to me
so I will have to find a solution.
But there is only an answer to this problem
to eat my own flesh.
The anxiety is greater than the pain
when I saw my left foot,
how will be the best way to cook it?
with what sauce do I have to serve it?
I was right, the best flesh made the best food
grilled foot for dinner,
toasted fingers for breakfast,
barbacued hand for lunch.
But putrefaction reached my amputed members
cauterization was not enough,
there is only one thing left to do,
with my remaining hand I toss myself in the trash.
