Wasting time
Watching it all go by
No, you shouldn’t have to spend a life
Dying, while they fill their pockets every night
Making deals, watching while the noose is tied
We don’t want to work for someone else’s cause
We don’t want to justify doing what we love
Why must you die
Underground in a mine making somebody else’s dime?
When there’s no choice but you’ll always know
That you’re wasting precious time
They say their prayers
And think it will relieve their guilt
But there’s no good reason
For people to be killed
I won’t pretend luxuries make it alright
Try to fight for your life
