Tommy went a-walking
He usually did the talking
Till one day he shut his mouth
Jane was a dancer she never said the answer
Then she shoved her fist in Tommy’s mouth
Tommy wasn’t angry
He realised he’d been shady
Talking out of both sides of his mouth
Jane is quite the lady
I’m proud my mother made me
Tommy never spoke too fast again
