Noah and the Ark

Well old Noah picked up a hammer and said
I need a lot of gopher wood
I’mma going to build myself an ark
Cause there’s going to be a flood
Well he worked and told everybody get ready
Or you’re going to drown
And when he got it build he said, «Load up!»
Before the rain comes a pouring down
He loaded two of a kind of everything that lived
On earth and then he closed the door
His wife went along and beared three sons
And their wives were all on board
Well the water destroyed everything on earth
Noah told the men he’s not to blame
For 40 long days and nights it fell
And don’t you know it was a mighty rain
Well the water was deeper than the trees
And the web of the highest hill
They sailed along for days and days
Till at last the ark stood still
Then Noah opened up a window wide
sent a dove to look about
He knew there was land when the dove returned
With an olive leaf in his mouth
