Southern Most Sail

Down in Key West, right there on the shore
There’s a buoy that marks
The southern most point
Ninety miles from Cuba
You can’t get farther down
As I stand here I just have to laugh
Watching tourists dodging traffic
Seems they all want a picture
So they’re just hanging around
As for me, it really doesn’t matter
I can stand here but you know I’d rather
View it all from out on the sea
So untie that line, man the rails
All aboard for the southern most sail
That’s the best way that I know
To enjoy the Keys
What lies beyond the horizon

That big hotel, that’s the Casa Marina
One of the finest I’ve ever seen
I’d like to take you there latter on
Maybe drink cocktails
But first let’s sail to the Dry Tortugas
Put on the snorkel gear, I want to show you
