For too long Ive tried
To compromise my integrity
For someone elses dreams
I closed my eyes my mind
And let them lead me into submission
Now I feel the lesser of two evils
With my head bowed down
Tail between my legs
And Im afraid this is not me
Inspiration it flies high
When Im looking up
Away from the american lie
