Searching for Home

I’ve jumped from world to world,
Searching for my home,
To be there once again with those
blue eyes
But now I’m standing here,
On the edge of forever,
I’ve seen so many worlds without those
blue eyes
And I wonder to myself,
Is there anybody else,
Who’s the same, just without those
Blue eyes
and I ask
Why?
Here again, Another place called home,
What even am I searching for?
A place to love, a place to love me back,
So many, yet none that I have known.
I don’t understand exactly what I’m feeling,
I don’t understand why I’m still believing,
One day I’ll just come along,
to find my home where I say I belong,
I don’t understand what’s all the purpose,
When what I’m looking for is only on the surface,
But then inside it’s like all the rest,
The final barricade against pure emptiness,
I’m welcomed here, but still I don’t belong,
Or at least, I tell myself.
I’m wanted here, as I was wanted there,
But still I think, that I can’t stay.
Searching still, for something so long gone,
Why am I searching, anyway?
Meaningless, the word just came to mind,
And I wonder, could it be.
I don’t understand,
Why this happened,
I don’t understand,
where to go,
I don’t understand,
why, he’s gone.
I don’t understand,
why?
