i’ve got my back
against the window
trying to take the good out
of every bad move
and all the shit
that we’ve been through
cause the past days
we’ve had nothing but trouble
and i don’t think i’ll ever
be able to believe that
i’ll make it back to you
we’re going east going slow
and it feels like i’ve been
in the middle of
the curve forever
cause i can’t tell what’s
coming ever
but i made peace with my past
now i’m hoping it will last
all summer
but it can be hard sometimes

hope of better days
days with you my friends
for the first time of the year
i wish for everything my dear
though i know
that feeling might go away
cause even in the best of days
my feet are sometimes missing the beat
we’re going west and hope for the best
but it seems that we’ll never ever
gonna beat the weather
will it ever feel like summer?

and really hope that it can last forever

now the roads are taking me closer
where the words are taking over
