Is It Familiar?

Is it familiar, and once again things aren’t the same
And sometimes they are fine
They are the same
Not better
Are today
Not changed
Or better now
I seem to remember something that occurred to me
The year I had chosen was of no real help to me
It wasn’t very fun
It’s all the same
Not better
I can’t change
Or make it better now
Is it familiar now
Does it stand to reason after all these years
Of trying to get back there
Trying to go back and then you see
What there was to know when you get back there
Know that you got back there and you’re sure
What there was to know
What you would have seen
If you would have known
Walk away and be
Did you ever feel a little hopeless?
In fact I did myself
Complain and think that it was pointless
