Insomnia

Deep in the bosom of the gentle night
Is when I search for the light
Pick up my pen and start to write
I struggle, fight dark forces in the clear moon light

At least a couple of weeks
Since I last slept, kept takin' sleepers

Deeper still, that night I write by candle light
I find insight, fundamental movement, uh
So when it’s black, this insomniac, take an original tack
Keep the beast in my nature under ceaseless attack
