Under the Surface

When we admit it into existence; Then it becomes part of everything else.
And that means, it has a birth, a life and a death.
As long as it stays under the surface, it doesn’t seem to die.
Repressed memories. That didn’t seem to be going anywhere.
When we lock the door, the charmer’s inside,
and if we lock the door, who else could have the key?
Yeah, this is about the freedom, how do we feel in our own hearts?
Do we feel free?
Or is there a lot of uh… walls/prisons that we live inside?
I mean, it takes us, only to the edge, of what we can accept.
Forgiveness is giving up all hope for a better past.
When you hold resentment toward another,
you’re bound to that person or condition
by an emotional link that is stronger than steel.
Forgiveness comes at the moment where… we give up,
The moment it becomes more important for us to be free,
than it does to be right.
Yeah, do you wanna be right or do you wanna be free?
