Weathered Pages

Just a kid who wanted something to believe in;
searching for meaning in a world torn apart.
I’m torn apart.
And he had two parents that would never let him go.
Fearing the worst left them with nothing to call their own.
But through it all he could see something more,
more of a reason to believe in himself.
And I believe.
Take me back in time so that I can let you know,
That I can’t take on a life that is forced upon me.
And I won’t take it for granted again.
So now I live to walk alone.
