Dancing in the dark to town
In a red t-shirt I wore around the house
When I slept in late on Saturdays
We were sixteen, up the wall
The only thing in my system was alcohol
I didn’t want to go home, I didn’t want to be fine
Back then I made up bucket lists
Of all the things I longed for and things I’d miss
If I spent all my life shut up in my room dreaming
I dreamed of camping, cliff diving
Having my first kiss, or simply driving
Hours and hours 'til I got somewhere they didn’t know me

The street lamps made the sidewalks shine
