Getting through to you is like
Putting things in jars to keep them new
But, this disconnect and genuflection
Is something I don’t understand or want to

What’s in between your head and your body?
Who ever said that this would be easy?
I’m putting fingers to your neck
And checking for a pulse or anything
And you should consider last fall

Remember your feet
Tuck it all in, tighten it up
You should catch the symbolism
Hiding in your heart-space
