Tigers Above, Tigers Below

once in a while we sit down to talk
i get lost in my thoughts
and i can’t see through all of what’s there
i just want out, i want out of here
and i feel like i am midnight, far from the sun
and i have to be quiet
i wanna be free like life’s just begin
(there are tigers above me)
i can be strong and tender just like the ocean
(there are tigers below me)
once in a while all is right in the world
i fit in my skin, i don’t feel unsure
and i can breathe easy- my steps are light
i don’t feel trapped- my chest isn’t tight
and i don’t know how i can feel this way
i wish i could keep it
