Kite

I wish I was blameless
Could soar like I’m weightless
I’d fly through the sky, counting clouds on my way
'Cause I would be fearless and I would grow breatheless
I’d laugh at the wind as I fly through the day
A kite has no doubts as it cuts through the clouds
And it fights the string when it feels it pulling downwards
It lives on the ground but it dreams of the sky
A bird trapped inside of a heart that aches to fly
This life is a puzzle and pieces are scattered
They are just like clouds, changing shape all the time
