King Hoops

Well the mouths they keep running
Empty words they keep coming
Pushing down on me
They make it hard to be
The carrousel just keeps spinning
And the end’s like the beginning
It’s filled with burnt out clowns
When the circus leaves town
Broke down, gone to pieces
You know I terrorize myself
But caught out in the middle of nowhere
You know you’ve got nobody else
And the crimes perpetrated
Are more quaint and kind of dated
Here’s the simple facts
All the cards are stacked
And sitting on that throne
You’re both crowded and alone
But where as peasants sing
You know it’s good to be king
Caught out I was lost in the desert
