Winds of Tribulation

Awaiting the sun
And the light of the moon
These beacons that guide me
To my ancestors, entombed
Marching by land
To a voyage by sea
With a manic poise
We search for, solidity
Days pass at sea and the daylight grows short
Fueled by ambition, we sail further North
Driven by obsession, and desire to achieve
The opulence that awaits us, cannot be perceived
Cannot be perceived!
Consumed by an atrocious storm
But the winds of tribulation
Shall guide us, forevermore
Now the sea grows calm
Vessel sways, in agitation
Dawn on the horizon, I gaze upon the island’s shore
