Hungry At A Funeral

I cannot escape, or put my mind at ease.
With all these restless nights.
Oh, how they destroy me.
Devouring all of my love.
To get back to a place
I know I’ve been dreaming of.
In my brain I wish I tasted all the flesh of the world,
Lick the skin off of my fellow man.
I can’t tell you all the times I thought about trying you.
I’m overwhelmed, I’m overwhelmed.
Am I still human? Does my heart still beat?
Knowing my evil thoughts, they aren’t enough.
This isn’t me.
And all that’s left are bones and skulls.
Leaving me with a sense of loss, a lack of hope.
There’s no hope.
Ignore the signs so I can get away with my fantasy.
So I can live my life with my disease.
