Fast On Wheels

Yeah a lonely place for me could be
Where two roads intersect
Which one’s the freeway
And which one’s my intellect
-I watch the lights change
Think of life and how to be
I say: who needs moving on now
The world is coming right at me
Everybody’s fast on wheels
They don’t know how good the ground feels
I don’t think I want to move
I’m there soon
Carried by my fortune
Through cruelties and sins
I’m almost back in safety now
-I'm going to let you in
-Looking back in wonder
At what I’ve foolishly put down
Along the crazy journey
Peace was what I’ve found
Yeah I wonder if it’s over
On the day you learn to live
If the slowest get to be oldest
Or if it’s just the opposite.
Everybody’s fast on wheels
They don’t know how good
The ground feels
I don’t think I want to move
I’m home soon…
