First Adam

All of us Are fragments of our fallen father
All of us
The image marred by human hands
Identity is fractured
And ever since we draw breath, we know
That we are born to die
Death came through sin
And spread to all men
Because of one man’s sin
We are incomplete
But even if humanity united as one
It would not be enough to make us whole
From who do we depart?
Are we free to life?
All of this were so unsure of
We’re reaching our hands now
We brake the branches
Pull the stem To eat and become God
To form ourselves with our own hands
To see the world with blind eyes
To create our own reality
To eat and become God
We can never fill each other
Man in woman; plant the seed
The greatest miracle of man
Yet we’re destined to die
Our greatest achievements
Bricks of the new Babylon
Our emptiness driving us to stand
In defiance of who we are
We must be redefined
We need the new creation
We must be realigned
With the New Man
From who do we depart?
