I only ever study darkened mirrors
They tell me what I hate
The rage and hurt are always clearer
Cracked souls need to relate
The positive’s not in the picture
My lyrics gravitate
Towards sharing what is hard to hear

A compelling narrative without the inspiration of my pain
I’m always writing lyrics real to me to set the scene
But in all honesty, I think I lost the point of everything
My story’s often dark but there’s way more to see

I opned up my book but rearranged the pages out of order
Need to get myself into a flow where I describe some more beneath
The hurt that’s on the roof, but to do it I will sorta need
