Dreaming

As I get up and take a walk
Somebody starts to talk
I can hear people already dead
Didn’t understand what they said
In front of me the hangman glares
Walking up the gallows' stairs
An endless fall soon I’ll be dead
In panic I awake in a damp bed
What can a dream reveal?
Especially if it seems so real?
Knights are fighting for their god
Arrows fly is that my blood
A dungeon cell is where I lay
I can scream but can’t get away
It doesn’t stop I feel doomed
They’ve put salt in my open wound
Doesn’t matter how hard I fight
It only makes the collar tight
What can a dream reveal?
Especially if it seems so real?
I’m living in a air balloon
I want to go to the moon
All alone the sky is black
The balloon is gone, I can’t get back
Suddenly in a web I’m caught
I see a spider slowly walk
I twist and turn but it’s not enough
Screaming and thrashing I can’t wake up
What can a dream reveal?
