Perfect One

she had so many people telling her just how to go about getting exactly what
she wants
she said i’ll do it my way
not gonna change my mind
she had a boy she liked a lot but he always did too much so she had to give him
up and cut him off
she said he’s not gonna save my life
she wants to take her punishment and i can’t blame her cus lord knows that i
been there before and went down the same road
i made my home out in the cold
some people never can settle for less than exactly what they want when it comes
to certain things
i know that love’s that way for me
the worst part of finding the perfect one is when you find out it can never be
the danger of finding the perfect one is when you realize it will never be
and when i think back on my life it seems like i deserve it
there were so many that i scorned
there were so many that i loved and left alone
i guess i’m ready now to die
i guess i’m ready now to face the rest of my lonely life among all the good
people
