The president said it’s up to me to die for my democracy
And meanwhile he’ll reserve the right to come into my home at night
And say «tell me what the fuck have you been reading»
Well I can’t relax, my phone is tapped, I can’t get on the internet
Without somebody watching over me
My freedoms changed, it’s not the same,
We’re all to blame, and my flag means nothing
The president said the patriot act will help prevent another terrorist attack
And he’ll make you feel so proud to be a lap dog for authority
You better point the finger before they point at you
When no one’s trusted no one’s free, but you’ll maintain morality
With everybody watching over you
You’re freedoms changed, it’s not the same,
We’re all to blame, and your flag means nothing
I don’t care why you lie
You take all life and try to paint it black and white
Freedom is not a word for you to throw around
Freedom is just a word you use to gain your ground
