Longboards Road

Longboards Road

On longboards' road I drive tonight,
The place that took my love away,
Beneath the sea, deep in your eyes,
Until the tide pulled you away…
Still noble is the sand,
Flying in my meditative face,
The California sun warms and
Makes the evening pains erase
Surfers in the sunset,
Ride away indolent youth,
Perishable days have never much changed
And yet I crave for you
On longboards' road I drive tonight,
The place that took my love away,
Beneath the sea, deep in your eyes,
Until the tide pulled you away…
With the Western sky above me…
My soul is a feather in the salted air…
This road is a comforting vanity of things,
Some faded steps,
… and thoughts that wouldn’t dare …
On longboards' road I drive tonight,
The place that took my love away,
Beneath the sea, deep in your eyes, Until the tide pulled you away…
Surfers meet the land,
Yet one soul is missing today,
My darkest days haven’t seen much change,
And the candles still burn in Rose Bay
Surfers meet the land,
Yet one soul is missing today,
My darkest days haven’t seen much change,
And the candles still burn in Rose Bay, Rose Bay
