Vertigo running through the rain, painfully I feel the same
As the cycle seems to feed on me, consistently defeating me
The volume of the buzz has been, louder than it’s ever been
I feel a fading like a soldier bleeds, needing death, or needing rescue
But you come to me at the strangest times
In the waking times of silent nights
Sleep here is scarce sliding through the pavement
I fell hard like I never have
The outside draws me into panic, pushing me farther out of sleep
The beacon seems to mock my trying, showing me that I am nothing
Who am I? 'she' asks me, as if I know no other shame
I am something over coming, bleeding, healing moving on
But you come to me at the strangest times

And for tonight, a short escape
