Poor education, death on the roads
The writing that’s not on the wall
The war in The Balkans
The war in The Falklands
It’s not like The Waltons at all
I’m the judge and the jury
Prosecution and defence
I’m the wife, the friend
The twelve angry men
And I blame them
For the child that’s abandoned
The decline in standards
Cruelty to animals and yes,
There’s no enjoyment
In mass unemployment
Ulcers, starvation and death
The underachievers
Taken by the receivers
The school leavers left on the shelf
Robbery with violence
With torture and silence
Small print, the pop charts
And everything else
