As I Go

The first few hundred seconds feel like nothing
Trapped inside my mind before it sinks in
Then I’m caught up in the moment
Don’t know where I’m going yet
It’s hard to stand when you don’t see it coming
The unexpected turn that knocks you down all of a sudden
Dreaming without knowing
Without knowing where I’m going yet
I’m feeling fine but I’m not alright
Why am I stuck on this crazy ride
You can’t break this heart of mine
I’m gonna hold out, I’m gonna face the cold
I’m gonna live life and figure it out as I go
Everywhere I look and each step I take
Is making up for every time I’ve felt so out of place
But I still need a reason
As to why some things never change
And I know I’m not alone
Cause we’re all trying to find out where to go
It may not be today
But I’ll be okay
