So I’m singing in the morningtime, say

You must keep your vision clear and your pace steady
I say watch for the signs that are placed on your pathway

When I wake up in the morning, and I see the rising sun
I give thanks to my Creator for the gift of another new day
One can never take for granted that we’ll live to see tomorrow

And then later in the evening when I lay down to my rest
I say my little prayer and thank Jah for having been blessed
Our Father, Who art in Zion
Hallowed be Thy holy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Zion
And give us this day, our daily bread
And forgive us our debts
As we would forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from out of evil
For Thine is the kingdom
