Old Wheel

I had a dream last night
Life was perfect
I had everything I ever wanted
I was taller and I was smarter
Had a good job and my parents applauded
Everyone would dance like a second chance
They’d been given the world
And there was no disease, or no loved ones deceased
And everything just made sense
Until I woke up aaaa…
This old wheel keeps on rollin'
I can’t stop it, I can’t even slow it down
This old day dream, keeps me going
You blink and it’s gone, yeah that’s what the old people say
I won’t let that wheel roll away

I couldn’t sleep last night
Same old story,
Folks are dying, all around me
But It’s not my destiny to live so helplessly
And hope good things come my way
I listen to my heart, and find out where to start
And maybe it’s not to late

It only matters if I can still laugh it off
